Description: The Town of Apex developed the points and associated data in the Address file for addresses within the Town of Apex corporate limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). Addresses outside of Apex jurisdiction, but within the Apex future planning area, are included for reference purposes. The base data was created by generating centroids from Wake County digital tax parcel data. Town of Apex address paper maps and correspondences were used to fill in the gaps of missing addresses previously assigned by the Town of Apex Planning Department. All addresses after March 1, 2016, were created and stored in this file. Address assignments occur prior to construction, and most address points are located directly above the associated structure or unit.
